This makes me sad. I honestly can't believe there's people out there who think that it's alright to copy someone's private journal entry and share it with the world.I got into a discussion on BDD about copy-pasting, where someone asked me 'what's so unethial about copy-pasting?' and 'why does (the wronged party) care if her protected entry wasn't ( Read more... )

It's just something on Bad Dolly Deals, the LJ community -- the issue wasn't the copy/pasting at all, it was the bad transaction, but I posted my displeasure about how theres so much he said/she said and people who do these underhanded things instead of just talking to each other. I also said that copy/pasting was unethical, and someone replied asking me 'why is it unethical?'

I replied, and she doesn't get it, and we got chided for talking off topic. It just annoys me, I suppose, the kind of attitude that 'its your own fault for trusting people.' Maybe, but that doesn't mean the people who do it are blameless.

I don't want you guys to go there or anything. XD I've said my piece, and I just needed to vent. Besides, apparently that's not pertinent to the conversation, as we're apparently not allowed to talk about anything but the BDD.

It's very stupid when people can't see why that's wrong ^^;. Even stupider that it seems to happen a lot! That's why I'm careful about who I let see those kind of entries :x.

I agree with you, and I do the same thing with my entries. I just find it flabbergasting that some people think that the person who C+Ps has done nothing wrong? On what planet is it okay to CP? xD

I know! And what's worse is when you find out from the people they told -_- And they won't even tell you who showed them it...I mean, god... People suck. It's like it's high school forever :/

It's sad this happens so much. It's happened to me too. Now I have to filter Lj entries.
