Hey I love those poems/lyrics you put up. =)
Here's another contribution. I really love this one cos it kinda expresses (to my mind) the utter desperation that romantic love drives people to sometimes - the hoping against hope, doing foolish things, never giving up etc. It is a kind of madness, after all... and you look back and go, I can't believe I did that - and then you go straight out and do it over again =P.
Cascabianca by Elizabeth Bishop
Love's the boy stood on the burning deck Trying to recite 'The boy stood on the burning deck.' Love's the son stood stammering elocution while the poor ship in flames went down.
Love's the obstinate boy, the ship, even the swimming sailors, who would like a schoolroom platform, too, or an excuse to stay on deck. And love's the burning boy.

I found this quite disturbing. It's like, he almost doesn't know what's going on around him, and there's this false sense of...normality?
Speaking of disturbing, I found a pretty disturbing Carol Ann Duffy poem the other day while browsing thru her poetry collection (am now debating w myself on whether or not to get it. :P) But I forgot the title (me being me). If I ever find it I must show it to you. :D
Reminds me of BB Mack's "The ghost of you and me" :P
This is so vivid...woah. Another love poem wid gothic elements (ghosts, insanity etc):
Mad Girl's Love Song
"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead; I lift my lids and all is born again. (I think I made you up inside my head.)
The stars go waltzing out in blue and red, And arbitrary blackness gallops in: I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane. (I think I made you up inside my head.)
God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade: Exit seraphim and Satan's men: I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
I fancied you'd return the way you said, But I grow old and I forget your name. (I think I made you up inside my head.)
I should have loved a thunderbird instead; At least when spring comes they roar back again. I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. (I think I made you up inside my head.)"
-Sylvia Plath Eh. The poems I put up are about lost love lah. You haven't
