So, there I was, doing the standard LJ scouting thing and looking for various cammies of recent acquaintance. I come across a guy I've been RPing with on the East Coast, and he has a feed to something called "monkeysignal". How odd, I think to myself. I know a Monkey

Eh, I know that awhile back, Monkey and I had talked about the Cam. Last Chronicle I think, because I had talked about how on certain weekends I couldn't make it to LAN parties, and he noticed that a bunch of his other regular LAN Party people had the same problem.

And Monkey's a popular guy too. He's appeared in a couple of Penny Arcade Strips, and runs Rule Zero. That kind of thing nets interest in all kinds of weird quadrants. When I was actively participating in Ministry of Peace I used to get correspendence from people I thought would have no interest in what I was writing.

He's been hanging with the wrong crowd. He knows princessdiablo and others from back east, even goes to visit them occasionally.

The wrong crowd? We are decidedly *not* the wrong crowd.

We may be the drunk crowd however...

Please, if you will, click on that link. Check out the reference to dorkery, and look upon the link that he refers to as "freaky". The link may no longer work, but the sentiment is there. I think it's safe to say that, at least at the time, he would have said the Cam in general was the wrong crowd.

As to the rightness of this particular crowd, I reserve judgment. ;)
