After a quick trip to Fry's yesterday, and an awesome sale, g00n and I are now the proud owners of WoW. Tyson installed it for me on the new, super-sweet system, and I downloaded all the updates, so I'm ready to go. I expect he will be soon as well ( Read more... )

I'm on Dark Iron for the Alliance side, it's the famous Penny Arcade server and I'm in one of the Penny Arcade guilds. Dennis is here as well (which will mean more to Tyson than you, but should still be noted ( ... )

Not to revise my comments, but to add in stuff I left out...

If you want to play with the cool peeps, then go Windrunner/Horde and Bronzebeard/Horde. That's where the cool people are, and cool people are teh r0xx0rz. The only reason not to do this is that the game experience will be largely the same in both cases, both horde, both PvE. Of course, the game is insanely large, even playing on the same side there's still a lot to see.

I'm on Dark Iron on the Alliance side. But if you are starting up a new character, let me know which server and side you plan to go with. I'll start up a new character and join ya. :)

I know I mentioned it in person, but I figure I should put my bid in in writing as well. While otoson does have a point about "end-game" stuff, note that I've been playing on a 1-3 times a week basis for almost a year and a half now and I still haven't seen the "end-game" stuff, not necessarily because my guild isn't "big" enough, but because it can take that long to get there. My preference is to play with people I know and enjoy the journey getting there. I don't like playing with random other players who I don't know. To me, it's a waste of time. That's me. I also have faith that we have several guild players now (11 or 12) and it sounds like maybe three more in the next week or so. We have 10 level 60 characters, and several lower level characters in each increment of 10.
The exciting thing is that they are about to release the expansion set, and I have so much more to explore.

Point is, I'd love to play with you... and Teamspeak rocks!

I agree Windrunner/Horde of Dark Iron Alliance.

We've got an guild on Sen'Jin, Horde and we're in Blackwing Lair currently, but the timezone difference would be harsh. Windrunner is PST time zone, so if you want Horde, I'd give it a look.

Sounds like most are on other servers, but M'Cori and I are well entrenched on Zul'jin, Alliance side.

I wish they'd have open server transfers, even for a price. It would be nice to be able to join up with everyone else and not lose all my precious purple stuff =8-(
