so when the discomfortingly slim envelope arrived today, I couldn't quite bring myself to open it. Yes, I stood there next to my car, turning the raised envelope over, upside-down, and backward in the just setting sun, trying to decipher some sort of hopeful phrase. Such a coward.

YAY! You know the thin envelope thing is so wrong. I received one page "your in" letters from both Wooster and Case before they send me the big packets. But YAY for MEG!

Clearly all these schools should adopt Mercy's (my high school's, that is) method of informing you. No anxious slitting of the envelope in that case; clearly marked across the front of the exterior was "This is your red letter day!" Thanks, everyone! (I'd reply individually, but essentially the message would be the same.)
