Because I like order, and I like lists even more. All the New School/Old School references and returning themes that this season has brought us already. Maybe we'll find a pattern or a hint for the finale?

I'm feeling real dense right about now about this point. I'm a bad fangirl who's only watched each episode this series once.

I didn't get half of the references in the first place, but that's what the f-list's episode reaction posts are for ^^

Names in general. Donna's last name keeps getting referenced, pointed out, and generally used.

It may be worth noting that the planet the Ood were from is related to the Sensorites, which was a First Doctor serial ("The Sensorites"). And that "Fires of Pompeii" had some quite nice shout outs to "The Romans" (obviously; another First Doctor serial) and "City of Death" ("Modern art!"; a Fourth Doctor serial.)

I'm not sure that's quite what you're looking for though.

Well, references in general. The more Old School, the better ^^

I don't know if this is the place to ask as it hasn't been mentioned this season, but whats with the ......of rassilion meme on the internet? Is it an old school who reference?

Is it an old school who reference?

Yes, it is. Gallifrey was full of ancient artifacts called the "Something of Rassilon"; it got started in a relatively sensible OMG!bigmythicstuff! way in Deadly Assassin but had reached a peak of silliness by The Five Doctors. ("The Hand of Omega" in Remembrance is a tiny corrective to the tendency by referencing the other big Time Lord founder.)

Thank you! I'd always wondered about that. I seriously need to start watching some old school who.
