Salary Requirements

Jul 23, 2008 13:11

I am tired of companies asking for my salary requirements with an application. So now I tell them what I'm getting including insurance, parking, and gas and say I won't let the balance equal less.

Either give me a hell of a lot more fucking information in the job ad or stop asking for number that requires a fucking equation to figure it out.

Blanket fill in the box numbers are dumb, agreed. But you need to be able to say, "i need $x to pay the bills while working at this location and achieve my goals." Its up to you if you use a sexy voice, you can leave me a voice mail with dollar figure try outs.

Requirements also should different upon how much responsibility you have, the tasking methodology, the management style of your supervisors, the on call status, the requirements for you to supervise others and the desire placement they have for you in the medium term.

If you feel that less structure yields more headache, your job classification should be more expensive. If you supervise 2 people or supervise 5 people is a big difference. If they want you to achieve what seems to be a degree worth of changes in 12 months ... etc.
