I got four right. Missed on #4, though.

I had to Google some of the names to see what sex the authors were. Lee is male, M. L. is female, and Ronald Frederick is male.

Lee Rowan is female my dear so you got five right :)

Who is Ronald Frederick?

Ronald Frederick is R. E. Delderfield aka "Also known as: R Delderfield, RiF Delderfield, DelderfieldfRiF, R.F.DELDERFIELD, R.E. Delderfield, R.D. Delderfield, R. F. Delderfeld, Delderfield R. F., Ronald Frederick Delderfield, Р. Ф. Делдерфилд" according to this site. I just like the combination of the names Ronald and Frederick.

Sorry dear, Lee - girl, M.L. Rhodes - girl (that author I amused you with :)), Delderfield is a guy.

Yeah. Checking again, Lee is a female. The reference to her wife threw me off the first time I browsed.

Oh! Okay, so not quite under the wire, but I assure you I didn't cheat. :)

So how'd I do...

1) Correct (boy)
2) Incorrect (girl, not boy)
3) Correct and... correct! :D
4) Incorrect (girl (with a boy's name, or was she going for a male pen name?), not boy) Also, incorrect in that I've never heard of the book or the author.
5) Correct! (boy) Also, I should have known this one, shouldn't I?
6) Correct (girl) Also correct in that I caught the "plucky girl" bit. \o/
7) Incorrect (boy, not girl)
8) Incorrect (girl, not boy) Though I'm left wondering, is the character speaking male?
9) Correct! (girl) My bones were correct! I knew I knew this book! (Oh, Dorothy Sayers... ♥)

So that's 5 out of 9 correct (practically a 50/50 break; not very impressive). Of the four I got wrong: 3 of them I said man when it was a woman, only 1 in the reverse. Which means... I default towards male? Hmm... Of the 5 I got correct, well I'll throw out the book I recognized, so of the 4 I guessed correctly, 2 were men and 2 were women. So now I'm not sure ( ... )

We are not going to throw out the book you recognised lol, we will count it as bonus point. That means nothing except I thought it will be fun, after thinking about male and female writers, you know? And I needed an excuse to send the books to people ;)

By the way you are getting male/male romance books, sorry. I wanted to send them to person who may like them :)

You do know Lee Rowan. Remember brits on ships fanfic which you introduced me too and which became a book Ransom? That is her. The short story I took the quote from is exquisite in my opinion. Her writing is to me how one should write male/male romance. And M.L. Rhodes is another popular writer of male/male genre, but really bad writer if you ask me.
