I had to Google some of the names to see what sex the authors were. Lee is male, M. L. is female, and Ronald Frederick is male.

So how'd I do...
1) Correct (boy)
2) Incorrect (girl, not boy)
3) Correct and... correct! :D
4) Incorrect (girl (with a boy's name, or was she going for a male pen name?), not boy) Also, incorrect in that I've never heard of the book or the author.
5) Correct! (boy) Also, I should have known this one, shouldn't I?
6) Correct (girl) Also correct in that I caught the "plucky girl" bit. \o/
7) Incorrect (boy, not girl)
8) Incorrect (girl, not boy) Though I'm left wondering, is the character speaking male?
9) Correct! (girl) My bones were correct! I knew I knew this book! (Oh, Dorothy Sayers... ♥)
So that's 5 out of 9 correct (practically a 50/50 break; not very impressive). Of the four I got wrong: 3 of them I said man when it was a woman, only 1 in the reverse. Which means... I default towards male? Hmm... Of the 5 I got correct, well I'll throw out the book I recognized, so of the 4 I guessed correctly, 2 were men and 2 were women. So now I'm not sure ( ... )

By the way you are getting male/male romance books, sorry. I wanted to send them to person who may like them :)
You do know Lee Rowan. Remember brits on ships fanfic which you introduced me too and which became a book Ransom? That is her. The short story I took the quote from is exquisite in my opinion. Her writing is to me how one should write male/male romance. And M.L. Rhodes is another popular writer of male/male genre, but really bad writer if you ask me.
