Someone submitted a reader review of the Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days manga to Anime News Network. A positive one that thought it was a nice idea to turn Eva into a high school love triangle comedy. Now the closet fans are coming out of the woodwork. Help.

Some say this "alternative parallel story" cops out and makes things a more uneven mess by bringing back the Angels, but they're really more of a backdrop that supports the main focus story: the triangle between Shinji, Asuka, and Rei, and which girl Shinji chooses in the end (his ultimate choice is very agreeable, in my opinion).

(emphasis mine)

Who needs the fundamental loneliness of the human condition? (And stuff. And junk.)

On the upside, if Hideaki Anno read this kind of thing and got depressed enough he might make more crazy anime. That isn't Eva remakes.

So they basically made it into a dating sim is what you're telling me. Gross.

Yeah, see my initial comment. There are only really two girls, though; I thought dating sims went for like a half dozen at least?

...I was about to say "and Shinji doesn't even have a little sister," and then I paused for a moment and went EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW. I love Eva. I really don't think I've seen anything quite that apocalyptically fucked up before or since.

I don't know if they present Kaworu as a third alternative.

I also heartily recommend you do not take a look at this link.
