Low flying objections

Misery may love company, but nonetheless I could not make it through either The Golden Compass or the colon-eriffic pair of The Seeker: the Dark is Rising and Aliens vs Predator: Requiem on my flight. That last one I didn't even manage five minutes.

I saw Aliens vs Predator: Requiem the day it came out. I can confirm that spending the best part of three hours beforehand in a scream pub makes it somewhat enjoyable, but I think it also helped that it was friday night and just about everybody was as drunk as we were.

I paid the heavy price for not observing these simple safety precautions. Then again I don't know if there would have been enough alcohol on the plane to push it all the way up to 'fun'...

You are truly a masochist. I could probably only get through The Seeker if I was completely pissed. The very existence of that movie offends me.

I actually got further with that than I did with the other two, because I actually like Northern Lights and the first three Alien and two Predator movies, so it was uncomfortable viewing. I only read two of the Cooper books and tried to persevere with the movie, but when the mythology half-assedly kicked in I realised it would ruin the books if I ever got around to reading the rest of them, and it was shit, so I stopped watching that too.

I must also note that it really is as bad as you've heard.
