i just watched an episode of quantum leap. man, i love(d) that show. it's kind of goofy looking to me now when i watch, with the last of the great eighties television theme songs, but it really was a pretty great show. time travel is cool stuff, scott bakula was excellent, and watching it now i realize how much it reinforced my understanding of ( Read more... )

Cory let me listen to some of your older stuff a while back. When are you gonna record some more? And if you have, when am I gonna hear it? You have all these new fancypants instruments...yet I don't hear any music!!

dude, i looooooved quantum leap when i was younger (back in the day when sci-fi on tv was slim pickins); i too watched it recently, but found it too cheezy now to sit through (kinda like the OG of sci-fi, star trek; i can't watch that either)

i got over my fixation with umberto eco, well, once i actually read something by him (foucault's pendulum); i did try "the name of the rose" but zzzzzz; i've lumped him in my mind with james mitchner; to me they both seem to be practicing the antithesis of poetry--trying to use the most words possible to describe something relatively minor

but i'll never give up my fixation with the ukelele!

glad you're posting again. . .
