syndicated feeds

i gots a question.

how come some feeds that post to livejournal are just links to the new post on the feed site, while others post the actual content right on my lj page?  i prefer the whole entry post to my lj, because i'm less likely to click the link and read and then click back if i'm skimming reading lj in a hurry at work.

does that make sense ( Read more... )

I know what you mean. All mine are fine, except for Jude's blog about her surgery. I have to click on the link to read the whole thing.

It's controlled by the originating site... And yeah, I'd prefer all feeds were the same, too!

I put all my feeds in a sort of filter: clicky ones and non-clicky ones. That way if I'm in the mood to click on links I can do that and if I just want to scroll and read I use that filter.

I also use Google Reader for those things, especially comics that cut themselves off in the LJ style I use.
