Took the GRE this morning, working on both a Buffy and Dollhouse fic that I hope to have finished sometime this month and oh do I feel hype.

Adelle and Alpha establishing Safe Haven.

Adelle froze, the spill of blood across Alpha's cheek far too familiar.

"Turns out it wasn't the coyotes's: wild boars were digging up the carrot bed. At least we,'ll eat well tonight...' he trailed off at the look on her face. "What" he asked, eyes open and guileless. She tampered down the instinct to panic and accepted the carcass slung over Alpha's shoulder. Meat was meat.
