This was so beautifully written. I thought the dialogue was so understated and poetic while also being... what people would say. And there were so many beautiful images and lines... but this one KILLED ME:

Jared pulls on Jensen’s wrist, breaking the touch. Jensen moves with the other to reconnect, which only makes Jared do it again. He holds Jensen’s wrists away and watches how his fingers wrap clear around the joint but don’t fully hold. They won’t.

SNIFFLE! Seriously fantastic angst, my dear, in tone and characterization.

Now, write something about the boys with puppies, OR at that animal rescue foundation Jared volunteers for, and make yourself happy again. ;) (My happiness is only secondary, of course.) :P
