Yes it is bullshit. If you are bringing something either make sure it's done or at the least finish it yourself not just hand it to the host and expect them to do it.

Thank you! At one point I asked my aunt how long to keep trying to heat Tue roast up hot enough. She told me I shouldn't let everything else get cold because of one dish. I replied, "cause this is totally not on me right?" She gave me a knowing smile and said it wasn't me. But then I know she doesn't really like my SIL, either, so I didn't know of that was part of her reasoning, lol.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one thinking this! I was also thinking last night that I doubt they would do that to my mom! But because it's me, like my SIL thinks it's okay? IDK. I mentioned it to my mom last night and she felt awful (for me) and said she didn't realize that was what they did and why I was so pissed off.

Ugh, yes, thank you! If they had shown up at normal time or something - and what's most ridiculous is they only live 5 minutes away!

Hah yes, I have learned my lesson! I also have too many WIPs just sitting around, not posted, that I really need to kick my own ass to finish.

Ugh, thank you so much. And it's so stupid on top of all of this because A) they live only 5 minutes away, B) my brother started the potatoes then had to leave so I was stuck finishing them, and C) when they showed up, my SIL's hair was all wet, meaning they'd only just showered before coming over - 25 mins late, with cold food. WTF?
