This is FANTASTIC. It's a wonderful glimpse of their "before," and it's yearning and comfortable and tense all at once. I love it.

Awww, dude, thank you so much! I have many plans for prequel/timestamps to bring them together, so I didn't want to go too far here. Just a snapshot of them enjoying a non-traditional Christmas moment. So I'm glad you liked that! :-)

Oh, thank you so much for writing this! It made me feel all warm and fuzzy :) I have been very curious about their early history and this filled some of that in wonderfully (while also making me even *more* intrigued by how they actually make the big leap - but I'll just have to hope for even more of this incredible 'verse someday!).

I just commented a few above that I have wants/plans to write more about them coming together. I love cops! And I love these two! It will definitely happen sometime soon :)
