I must agree with Moirah here. Your choise of words Did make it sound a bit like she was stopping you.. that caught my attention too.

What do you mean by the "fantasy affected"? The way you guys wear the Blaid?

Now the dance part is fixed ;)

The fantasy affected refers to number of things, plaid is only one of these. Others on the top of the list one could mention are absence of religious schism, faith, "Kingdom of the Dragonwoods", etc. Of course with the "true" beliefs in Walsingham and Gloriana.
