It's a tough choice, those two head to head, but those Olympias just have such a visual style, I have to go with the Oly here, although Galaxies are delightful to use.

Glaxies are nice but lack in the sexy category to be sure! I use a Classic 12 daily and love the feel of the keys and the responsiveness of the platen. I also own a few Olys and love the looks but never got to liking the clunky keys. My vote is for the SCM!

I have a Galaxie XII, and it seems to be a lot balkier and slower than my Royalite. It may be my Pete Townshend style of typing, or the fact that it needs to be lubricated (I got it second hand), but nice picture.

I don't have an SM-7 but I do have a Galaxie. It is missing the return spring, though, so I've not had a chance to use it. I hope to find one someday.
