I just 'read' this backwards waiting for it to load.

Dudley overcoming his fear of magic and realising it's not too late to make a fresh start is a lovely way of redeeming him.

I know very little about art but I liked the way you kept the dark/night sky background throughout the story until the last part here where everything is finally beginning to look up for Dudley.

Thanks so much! To be honest, last few panels were also supposed to have a blue back ground, but I sort of forgot >.<"

I'm glad you understood, though.

Thanks again!

I love this - the sketch lines and florescent colours on the dark background, the words, the story, the expressions on their faces and emotions of their body language. It's much more wonderful and magical than anything I could ever have imagined might have come from my prompt. Thanks so much!

wow! go you! I just finished a 'comic' (what do you call these storyboard art things that really arent comics of graphic novel, anyway?) and I know tha intensive labour that goes into them. this is full of muggle magic! your flowing golden lines weaving everyting together is great, and the way it resolves to the star-in-the-hand is lovely. Great job, and yay, Dudley. Never give up!
(he's so cute huffing and puffing, *g*)

*Coughs*

Would you believe me if I told you I started and finished this in a few hours? *Grins sheepishly* After the first roughdraft was thrown out, I honestly did not know what to do. One day (the last day of my extension period, actually) I just had to sit myself down and do something. Luckily I was playing Perry Como's version of "Catch a Falling Star" and this was inspired.

I had fun with it, though, and I'm really glad you liked it.

Wow! What a wonderfully unique entry! I'm so intrigued by the pairing and I'm also a total sucker for ANGSTY!boys with happy endings, so this was right up my alley. I liked how you kept the star/night theme throughout this and the gold and then red lines connecting them. The description of Dudley shaving away years of beard and discontent and fear was perfect-- really hit me hard. And I looooved the picture of Dudley running in the suddenly sunny world. Seemed like a perfect way to show his change in heart and mind. And Dean is just lovely. Gorgeous work!
