New students and stuff were tiring. Jude flopped into bed and reached for the painkillers. He really couldn't wait until this stupid cast was off, but at least this time he wasn't running into everyone on his board. Just tripping over them.

He was just going to lie here for a while.

Jude sighed. "Yeah, I know. It's just . . . look, I'm worried that if I can't keep up Chad's gonna dump me and I really like him."

Setsuna still wasn't quite sure what Jude meant, but she figured she could try her best to be comforting. "Well, if he did something like that," she said, with a nagging voice in the back of the brain that she wasn't exactly one to talk when it came to dumping Jude, but she was hoping maybe that would slip his mind, "then he's obviously too stupid to see how awesome you are. In fact, if he's sitting there being with both of you and not making a choice, then I'd say maybe he is too stupid to see how amazing you are. Because then it wouldn't be an issue at all..."

Said the girl who dumped him. For someone else. Setsuna bit her lip. Yeah. She failed at comforting.

Jude offered her a small smile. "Thanks, bra. Which would totally sound a whole lot better if I really was amazing. Y' broke up with me, remember? So why won't Chad do the same thing?"

Setsuna shrugged one shoulder. "I dunno. Guess, even if he's stupid, he's still smarter than me?"

"Aww, hey, don't say that," Jude said, nudging her with his elbow. "Maybe you were onto something with those whole dumping thing, who knows?"

Setsuna lightly nudged him back. "I don't know about that." She smiled a little sadly, eyes shifting away a bit. Jude probably wouldn't have pulled away from a perfect New Year's kiss...Jude probably wouldn't need someone else kissing her to be inspired to do it, either... She sucked in a sharp breath. She shouldn't think things like that; she shouldn't hold it against Ranma that he was shy. ...Really shy.

"Would you really prefer it if he did that, anyway? Dump you?"

Setsuna wrapped her arms around him in a light hug, resting her head on his shoulder as she asked, "Are you happy being with him, even with the Teddy thing?"
