Room 407, Wednesday afternoon

Apr 25, 2007 19:05

Jude was sprawled across his bed in typical post-exams celebration. Which meant video games with the explicit content turned on and a lot of yelling at the television.

"How did I manage to use the Hand of Dawn on myself? Like ten seconds from a checkpoint!"

Two finals in one day tended to make Rikkus a bit down. So it was totally time for a Jude-recharge. She had two hours until cheerleading anyway.

Knock knock knock!

"'Sopen," Jude called, tongue poking out of his mouth in concentration as he reset the level.

Rikku popped her head in. "Hiya! Oh! You're busy?"

"Huh?" Jude looked up at her and smiled. "Nah, totally free - not again!"

The screen went white as Jude once again managed to shoot himself with a tag for a satellite-mounted laser.

Rikku bit her lip. "Whoa! Sorry! I can, uh, I'll go? I didn't mean to ... rats."

"Nah, don't worry." Jude tossed the controller to the side and poked the console off. "You are totally better than video games any day."

Rikku giggled. "Not today. I'm discount-Rikku today. Half the bounce. Two finals, can you believe it?"

She stepped inside, shutting the door behind her.

"That sucks, bra," he said sympathetically. "I just had one." A smile spread across his face. "I know what'll totally cheer you up."

"Oooh, you did? What class? Do you think you did okay?" She grinned, a bit evilly. "I had some ideas about that, too. Hmmm. You first?"

"Creative Writing. The teacher totally hates me, but I don't think I did too bad." He grinned back and patted the bed next to him. "Well it starts with you sitting here."

"Awww, why does the teacher hate you? You're so ... un-hate-able. Mine were Engineering and Forensics Science and both those teachers are pretty cool."

She sat down where he had patted, a slow smile on her face. "Mmmmm. Definitely like how this is starting."

"Dunno. I think he's just a jerk." Jude leaned in and kissed the tip of her nose. "I'm sure you did awesome. Engineering is totally your thing."

"Then I'm glad your class is over." She scrunched her nose up a bit and giggled when he kissed it. "I hope so, 'cause he works on an airship and we learned lots about machina and ... yeah."

Conversation: becoming way less interesting.

"Yeah?" he asked absently, for further explanation. If she wanted to. 'Cause those lips were lookin' pretty good at the moment.

"Yeah," she replied, with a contented sort of smile. And leaned in to softly kiss his lower lip.

Jude cupped her cheek lightly with one hand, bumping their noses sweetly together before deepening the kiss slightly. His kiss was still mellow, but had the potential to get a lot less mellow in a while.

Rikku sighed into the kiss, closing her eyes and floating away. She reached up to trace the hand on her cheek, wrapping her other arm around his waist and snuggling close. Still mellow, and savoring the mellow, and hovering right on the edge of taking things a bit less mellow.

Slowly and over the course of the next several minutes and kisses, Jude stretched them both back out on the bed, his arm sliding around her in turn, hand spreading out over her back.

Rikku smiled and kicked her shoes off, snuggling deeper against him. She reached up to peel his toque off ... okay, she loved it, but if she tossed it off the bed like so, then she could run her fingers through his hair, twine them around the ends of it, twirl around in slow circles, clutch handfuls of it and kiss him harder ... the toque totally had to go.

She was feeling better about finals already.

Jude chuckled mellowly between kisses, throwing a leg over her. "Y' got a problem with my hat, bra?"

Rikku giggled, then pressed the tip of his nose with her finger. "Love the hat. But it kinda gets in the way of this."

And she reached up to thread her fingers through his hair and pulled him down for a harder kiss, leaning slightly back in case that leg was a precursor to rolling them both over. Which she was totally hoping it was.

Well if she was going to be so good about it . . .

Jude rolled them, settling comfortably over her and making sure he wasn't poking her with any bony bits - by which he totally mean his hips. Hips. Her kiss was met with a kind of muffled 'mmphf!' in a good way, his hands curling slightly in her shirt.

Rikku stretched out, making little happy noises, one hand still winding itself deeply into his hair. Her other hand was now sliding just under his shirt's hem, skating lightly over the skin on his lower back. She wriggled a bit against him, settling in.

Jude twitched a little at her hand on bare skin and smiled against her lips. "Nice," was his assessment, as his hand smoothed down her side.

"Oooh, progress," she teased, nudging his nose again and sliding her hand up a bit. "You're not blushing or anything."

She stretched up for a longer kiss, tracing slow circles on his back. Mmm, skin.

Which of course made him go a little bit pink, but he chuckled mellowly and didn't let it bother him. He let her explore all she liked, but after, y'know, being duct taped to a chair for two days he wasn't about to try anything more than he was already doing.

Rikku slid her hand higher, which meant that his shirt was sort of hanging half-off at this point. "Of course, as soon as I tell you you're not blushing, you start. Slight problem there."

She brought her other arm down so she could wrap both of them around his waist, forgetting about taking his shirt off for a second so that she could reach up for a long kiss and snuggle in agaist his skin. Mmmmmm, skin.

"Hey, what's wrong with blushing?" he protested, then going in for another long kiss. "You'd rather me be all not-blushy and grabby and jerky?"

"Not even," she grinned. "'Cause you're all sweet and respectful and awesome and besides, so cute when you blush. But, you know. I don't bite."

She reached up to nip at his lower lip. "Except like that."

Jude blushed a little more brightly. "Wh-what d' y' mean?" he stammered nervously.

"About the biting?" Rikku tried to look innocent, and nipped at his chin instead. "Or about me not biting? 'Cause that one's more fun."

She stopped, considering. "Well, I guess it depends on whether or not you like biting, huh?"

"Uh . . ." Jude was getting a bit lost. So he reevaluated and came up with ". . . not biting?"

"I don't," she said softly. Starting to blush a little herself. "I just meant, you know. If you were ... if you were th-thinking about, uh .... n-never mind." The blush was seriously more pronounced, and she reached up to pull his shirt back down. "Sorry. It's not important."

Jude kissed her swiftly. And then a few more times. "If . . . if you think it, it's important," he said with a little smile, nuzzling against her.

Rikku reached up to tousle his hair, giggling. "If only you knew the stupid things I think of on a day-to-day basis. You would be so rethinking that."

She nuzzled back. "Just, you know. It's not like. Uh." She shut her eyes. "There's no way to say it without you thinking I'm asking you to, but I'm not, I just wish that, you know, you didn't think that it's some kind of ... but I like how things are and I don't want to wreck that and it's more that I'm just going, hey, you know, it's okay if you're, uh. 'Cause I kinda, you know?" She looked up hopefully, pretending there were actual words in that.

"I know," he said with a smile, blushing at the tousling. "And it's not that I don't wanna . . . 'cause, like, duh, of course - not that I'm all - but, y'know, you're really, uh . . ."

Jude decided to shut up and kiss her.

"I am?" she said, melting a bit. "I, uh, I thought at first you were, y'know. Just not very interested, 'cause, I mean. I'm cute, but cute's not, uh. The same? And ... I mean ... I don't wanna be all, and have you ..."

She nearly facepalmed again. Better idea: she reached up to kiss him soundly, reaching her hands down to pull his shirt off. She broke the kiss long enough to get the shirt over his head, and eyed him with a mischevious glint. "I have this great idea."

Jude 'eep'ed a little bit. "Great idea?"

Rikku blushed harder. "Uh, just kidding! No ideas here. Did you, uh, want your shirt back? Lemme grab that. Hang on." She wriggled slightly away from him looking for it. Damn her and her theatrics, tossing it.

Jude wriggled her right back into positioned, kissing her. "C'mon, bra, tell me . . ." he wheedled.

Which made her giggle. "You sure? Promise you're not gonna be all ... you know?" And her eyes danced a little.

"Nuh uh," he assured her solemnly. "No you know here."

Rikku smiled back. And leaned up for a light kiss.

"'Kay. Here's the idea. How about ... you pretend that Deadpool's never gonna hear about any of this, and I pretend that I'm gonna gonna shock you by actually, uh, acting like I think about things, and you pretend you've got written permission from me to actually, you know, try for things without me thinking you're some kinda jerk, and we stop worrying so much and thinking so much and just, you know. Go with the flow?"

She looked up at him, reviewing her words, and then facepalmed. "Not, like, rushing things, because whoa, I mean, there's ... we're not ... this is all coming out wrong, isn't it?"

Jude chuckled and shook his head. "I totally get it, bra." He kissed her lightly. "Flow. I can totally go with the flow. I just don't wanna do something stupid, 'cause I really, really like you."

"I know. Me too." She leaned in for a longer kiss, wriggling against him. "But I didn't punch you 'cause of hands. It was 'cause you were a jerk. You're totally not a jerk. Therefore, even if you do something wrong, it'll be okay. Yeah?"

Jude nodded. "Yeah." He offered her a nervous kind of smile. "I'm gonna try something, okay?"

"Y-you are?" Rikku shivered. In a good way. A very good way. And kissed him lightly. "Yeah. Okay. You t-totally should."

Jude deepened the kiss a bit, trying to hide the deep breath he took. His hands slid down Rikku's sides, skipped a little bit, and then up the back of her thighs to lightly - very lightly - brush over her backside.

Rikku was tingling. And shivering. And drowning. When his hand tentatively brushed against her, she whimpered lightly into his mouth, pulling him closer to kiss him harder. Because whoa.

Jude pulled away from the kiss, his hands brushing again, nuzzled against her nose, and -

"Mew?"

Rikku nuzzled back, ki-- MEW!?

She hopped a few inches straight in the air, before staring for a moment. "Where's ... what did ... how ... is ..."

She blinked at the cat. Who was ... blinking sleepily and ... looked really ... mellow?

The kitten yawned a loose-jawed kitten yawn before snuggling down into Rikku's chest, purring.

Rikku sat up - carefully, snuggling the kitten into her arms, trying to figure out where her boyfriend went and why exactly there was a (very cute) kitten on top of her. She had a sinking feeling ...

She scooped the toque up from the floor with a free hand and settled the kitten on her lap. And then she put the toque over its head. Which somehow clinched it.

She stared at the kitten. "... Jude?"

Judekitty's ears twitched up at the sound of his name and he lapped at her thumb with his little sandpaper tongue.

"Okay," Rikku said calmly, scritching at his chin. "Hi, you. I guess I broke you or something. Don't panic. Not that you look panicky. Let's ... let's go find someone to fix this. Yeah?"

The little mewl and sprawling across her leg could be some kind of agreement.

Okay, he was an adorable cat. And she was feeling pretty panicky, but at the same time, he was a snuggly cat, he didn't seem hurt, and ... this was totally fixable. Right? Right. Just Fandom, after all.

So Rikku squeezed her boyfriend kitten kittenfriend? Jude into her leg pouch, leaving the zipper open so he could pop his head out and see what was going on. "You good in there?"

The Judekitty could see. And he was with his Rikku. So he gave a mellow kind of meow and tried to figure out if napping in a leg pouch was possible.

Rikku reached down to tuck his toque in with him, but not over his eyes. Seeing was good. And gave him a quick scritch. "Good kitty," she said, with a smile. "Be good for Rikku, 'kay?"

And with that she left Jude's dorm room, in search of ... well. Someone. She'd figure out who.
