If waiting 2 more years is literally going to make you die inside, then I say go. Kick ass. Rock that fuckin house like we know you can.
But College can be one of the best times of your life, and you make so many connections and friends, connections that can get you jobs later in life, you learn skills that you might not get otherwise, or only at much greater cost...If you can enjoy the next two years and be content that when you're 22, you'll still absolutely young enough, and you'll have a much better chance at a comfortable standard of living considering your degree, then stay, and have fun not worrying so much about bills and other grown up stuff.
22 is almost the same as 20! We are SO YOUNG!!! And with your face, you'll be playing Ingenue until you're 45 anyway.
Love you, Kelly. Follow your Dream. If I had to put my money on someone, It'd be you.
I think that if I was in your shoes, I'd go. I wouldn't want to look back with the "what-if's"...you know? I think you can totally do it. Just go for it-you never know what could happen. Maybe you could set a limit, like "okay, I'll try it for a year" or something like that. Then if nothing happens, finish school and try again. Who knows...it's definitely a big decision to make. Good luck-see you Sat.
i advocate not staying in sac longer than you have to.
i agree on a "year or so" limit. you can always come back and get your degree...ryans mom just finished her freaking masters! the point is, you can always go to school...but the skills for musical theater fade quickly. and if you have the opportunity now, when nothing is holding you back and you have the least responsibilities in that town, then do it. you have a wonderful support system behind you...even if they wouldnt be in the same town.
i have the same issue...i'm going back to school for the third time...and to this day i'm still wondering which would be better...school or focusing on theatre...welcome to my thoughts/fears/insecurities
