Oo, you have an actual date you can identify?

I'm not really sure when it happened, for me, but perhaps the day I connected to the Rowrbrazzle BBS, prompted by an advert or letter in Albedo, might be an anchor point, at least. That was the moment I realised "there are others like me!". ^_^ That would've been.. hmm. Not really sure, but somewhere around Spring 1992, I think. (I wish I still had my files from that time, but I think I only made maybe one copy of all my floppies - occupying less than half a CD-R! - and I haven't seen that in a long time)

In any event, I'm delighted you found "us", and that I somehow bumped into you. You're a good sort. ^_^ *hug*

I don't remember a specific date. But it was pretty early in the year.

I do remember exactly where it happened though. I didn't have my own computer, so I was at the library. I felt self conscious as hell "researching" what was, in way; a fetish...for me.

Probably bigger than a fetish. But that part of it made things a little awkward.

I was searching for animal costumes and I ran across Artax's Plushophilla page. That's where I found the alt.lifestyle.furry FAQ and had my own, "I'm not the only one." moment.

To say that my life changed on that day wouldn't be a lie. It definitely did.

*chuckle* For one, I knew after that day that I had to have my own computer...immediately. :)

I went on to meet some pretty amazing people that further shaped my life.

Some have stayed.

Some have come and gone.

But some with come again. :)
