From "Powell endorses Obama for president" (via dukhat):Stressing that Obama was a lifelong Christian, Powell denounced Republican tactics that he said were insulting not only to to Obama but also to Muslims.

“The really right answer is what if he is?” Powell said, praising the contributions of millions of Muslim citizens to American society.

The above includes the video of the endorsement he gave. I was impressed most by what he said about Muslim Americans (including a touching and very well delivered bit about a photograph toward the end). The only other people I have heard making this point have been on the super left-wing and some of them have managed to make anti-Jewish statements while doing it, so really this is big for me.
