If it’s the Mark that makes him want the Blade, then he should’ve gotten the itch long before 9.16.
I thought holding the blade kind of activated the Mark?
So I spend a lot of time thinking about Robo!Sam and have actually gone on and on about him on this blog, so there were a lot of things about this soulless situation that bothered me because they simply did not make sense.
I thought the same thing, and I applaud your effort to make it all make sense. Actually, I applaud your entire review.
(2) I've been operating under the assumption that Dean's been celestially fortified against the worse physiological outcomes of his alcoholism.
(3) I buy it! My own theory was that either the actual removal of the soul or the sudden cognitive shock of soullessness caused some degree of psychological instability, but RoboSam had been so desensitized by the Cage that he didn't experience it.
I loved this ep and I loved your whole review! But yes especially point 4. It was so wonderful to see a Sam-centric ep with Sam using all his skills and heart.
