Casey's Desire To Be A Father my_cat_tim May 19 2013, 04:03:10 UTC
I know what you mean. Casey is a sympathetic character, but he could give up more if he truly wants to be a father. He could give up his construction business and except for the two days a week he works at the firehouse he could be the main caretaker of the baby. There is no way Hallie can juggle a baby with her hours as a resident. She is working over eighty hours a week. It will not be much better when she is a full fledged doctor. Doctors work extremely long hours if they want to get ahead in their career. Casey does not have this problem. When he leaves the firehouse, he does not take his work home with him. Surely he could find or hire someone to take the baby for the two shifts a week that he works. It makes you wonder just what it is Casey expects from a wife.
