Just finished watching Red Cliff on netflix- got the one month free trial. What a beautiful movie! & the battle tactics were fascinating, not to mention the question of whether a cup of tea could change the course of a war

I saw the theatrical version. I was hoping they had Sweet Rain, but no such luck- the reviews sounded interesting.I think my list at the moment is mostly foreign films, they are hard to come by here. I'll probably watch a lot of anime too- I don't have any pressing deadlines for a bit!
helping my mood, although not my waist! I'm just so damn tired of it all, I'd like to go hide for a while but I can't afford it- if I could just get to Montana! I always feel so much better there...
Ah, well, the weather in Montana this time of year is daunting.
I am tempted to the desert as I tend to have less pain in steady, warm, dry climates.
One of the places I really enjoyed was one I went to on the trip that I tweaked to become my 'travels' with Kantarou. The White Mountains in...August (though the story was set in June)--even at 10,000 feet it was warm, and the white stone reflected the heat from the soil, so that my feet and ankles were about 10F warmer than the rest of my body. The air was thin, which probably contributed to the temperature layering, but other than that disadvantage it seemed the very best climate for my body overall.
However, the season with that happy weather is incredibly short, which is why the trees grow so slowly.
The part I go to is cold, but very dry so when you dress right you are very comfortable (unlike here when it is cold & the humidity is 70-95%, you can put on everything you own & it just feels like you are wearing a wet sponge). I used to be like you re:pain in warm climates but the last bout of Lyme reset my internal thermostat- now hot weather is painful.
Yeah, it's from that section where Kantarou blocks the ghost-mortar round from the Unebi, in episode 13/Nightmare in the Woods.
My latest art-crush, lasting a whole week now, is Gojun. He's just so much more interesting to look at than the less demonic-appearing gods. And I totally love his hair.

I've added Red Cliff to my 'watch instantly' list. Did you see the theatrical version or the 'international version' that is only available on DVDs?
And you do know that Saiyuki's available under 'watch instantly', right?
