I'm not a good enough human being to be your friend.

Thanks for saving the kitties. I wouldn't have had the chutzpah to get that directly involved.

Prior to Lyme I would not have either- I developeed a bit of a "what the hell, I'll regret it if I don't do it" attitude then- & I mostly don't care what others think of me. Having died once also helps- puts things in perspective (I choked- did the whole leave your body & watch everybody trying to get you back bit- then suddenly thrown back in).

I had a cardiac arrhythmia once due to electrolyte derangement, felt faint & then woke up instantaneously in another location to which it should have taken several minutes to transport. No out of body experience or experience of any kind involved, just instantaneous cut in time perception like the cut between scenes in a movie. Not like sleep or anesthesia where there's a sense of a duration having passed. I don't know if that was a near-death thing or not.

Are words adequate for explaining your experience or are they inadequate tools for it?

It was not frightening at all- I could see all the other people were upset but I was just floating, feeling so light- I remember thinking "oh, I'm going to bump into the ceiling!" (the place had a vaulted ceiling). It was just kinda strange- I was thinking "wow, I'm choking to death" but it did not seem very important or momentous-getting yanked back was much more of a shock- really violent- I was a bit maundered for a while - did not even think to thank the people who saved me, too busy trying to get reconnected & sort things out; it was kinda like trying to make myself "fit" right. It took a few hours to get settled & clear again.
I have had that "timeloss" experience a couple of times when I had Lyme- it is weird. The dying bit happened years before that-

For just one or 2 nights I just leave extra food & water. For longer I have a friend who comes over-
Yeah, it would be great if we could save some of this heat for later when we need it!

Wow, things have been eventful! Sorry about your teeth; root canals (and crowns, ugh) suck. :( I've had one root canal and I have three crowns so far; all the result of the idiot I had for a dentist as a preteen drilling and filling my molars because they were "too deep". :( So I feel your pain with that one....

I'm amazed at you! You're such a great animal rescuer! (I think I watch too much preschool-aged-kids TV.) Loen would be in love with you if we lived anywhere nearby and would want to come to your house to help you daily! :p His current life plan is to be either an "expert" herpetologist or a veterinarian and either way be an "animal rescuer". (He wants to track down ever lost pet we see a sign for!)
