  My smashed thumb of a while back had been healing nicely but it sddenly decided to go bad. I went to a doc in a box this afternoon - when they walk in the door & say "wow, you REALLY have an infected finger!" it isn't real encouraging. She seemed most concerned because I'm not in pain- apparently I ought to be- so she kept pressing around it

Thanks! I'm just surprised- it had been healing so well & I thought it was long past any danger of infection!
