I'm glad to hear the ex-cop murderer is cornered in California & hopefully they will get him without further loss of innocent life- sad that 2 more officers were shot but glad the couple whose home he invaded are ok. I watch MSNBC. Are they biased? Hell yes...lefty lefty lefty. But they make no pretense to be otherwise,so it is easy to de-convolute the spin on what they report.

However...the only recourse for editing of *what* gets reported (rather than how) is to follow events on the internet, from as wide a variety of sources as possible.

yeah, but it is tough to get around these "lies of omission" - you don't know to research something unless you first hear that it happened. And most folks don't have the time or determination to dig around many sites until they get the real news. I wish we could get one good site that just reports the news as it is- no celebrity stories or fashion stories just straight unaltered uncensored news.

What organizational ties or leftist beliefs does he have? I've seen some mentions of this, but I can't find any concrete evidence.

His manifesto- which most media will only publish bits of, is very pro-Obama & pro-left. I believe some of his ex co-workers have said similar things about opinions he expressed to them. So far he seems to me to be one of those people who feels very entitled & that the world owes him acknowledgement of his greatness (there is a lot of bragging about himself in his manifesto).

Now this is really interesting because I read that he was praising George Bush and other Republicans, LOL. So... both 'sides' are cherry-picking what they report. Color me - not so shocking pink.

BTW - apparently he's gone. No loss there whether he was a leftie a rightie or just a looney.
