Maybe they sort of contradict, or maybe they say become who you are, just don't change completely. I don't know, food for thought.

Yes! Totally been through that change before. For me it happened spring semester of junior year. Although who I was in that period and the choices I made at that time do not represent who I am at all, I'm glad I went through it, because I do feel like for the first time in my life I dropped my inhibitions and just went with it. It's made me more open since, though I have definitely calmed down.
