And, you know, people *never* misinterpret texts or lose meanings in multiple translations that end up making a social issue out of a minor disagreement.
Two of the best teachers in my high school are a lesbian couple, and because a single parent disagreed with that they were nearly forced out of the school, when not a single student had ever complained nor even cared.

I suspect that in a few decades time, we will view discrimination against gays as we now view racial discrimation.
