#18. Reward
The bedroom door clicks open.
Jinki tears his gaze away from his novel at the sound. Watching his lover shuffle along the side of his bed, he neatly folds the corner of the page he was reading. A fluffy pink towel is hanging loosely around the other’s neck and his damp chestnut hair sticks to his cheeks.
Kibum pulls open the plaid patterned covers and crawls into the warm inviting space beside Jinki. He crosses his slender legs and leans back on the wooden headboard. A soft melody hangs in the air and the two unknowingly smile. Kibum rests his head on his lover’s broad shoulder; his wet locks tickle his neck.
“Your hair is wet.” Jinki murmurs with his velvet night voice. He runs his thick fingers through the wet mess before pressing a light kiss on his hair. “You’re going to get a headache baby.”
The other hums. He trails his finger down Jinki’s forearm, lacing their fingers together playfully. With his free hand, the older boy takes a hold of the towel. No words are exchanged as Kibum shifts to face him. He feels the towel gently rubbing against his scalp. He sees the rosy lips slightly parted and the dark almond-shaped eyes twinkle in the dim lighting. He feels relaxed- so comfortable that he leans in to his touch.
The damp towel is tossed carelessly on the edge of the bed and he fixes a few stray hairs. “There, all done.” Jinki wraps his strong arms around his lover’s small waist, pulling him closer to his chest. “Do I get a reward for my hard work?” He asks with a brow arched.
Kibum chuckles as his arms find their way around his neck. “Maybe,” the boy whispers simply against his jaw. He kisses the soft skin around the corner of those plump lips.
“Is that it?” The other pouts. “Bummie~”
Ever so slowly, Kibum leans in just enough to have the tips of their lips meet. He breathes out a laugh at his boyfriend’s eager expression. He blinks innocently.
“Don’t tease me baby,” Jinki murmurs huskily and he knows this voice is what the other loves the most. The corner of his lips rises when the other’s thumb gently scratches his Adam’s apple.
“You cheated again-” And before Kibum could finish his sentence, Jinki dips in stealthily and steals a night kiss.
