Well, I am looking forward to seeing your embroidery, and even your beadwork. I am thinking that I need some kind of sit-down-unhinge-my-mind kind of activity for this coming winter. I am considering finally doing that beadwork guitar strap. Now I have to find all the parts :).

Grace may well yet get to wear her cloak and hood this winter (hey, how about halloween - dress her up "authentic" medieval :) )

Thinking that garb is simply garb. It should "look" authentic, but have modern functionality and comfort - hidden if needed. I always go back to what the Known World Handbook says about the SCA, "its the middle ages as they should have been". Its nice to have the authentic stuff for say, Feast of the Hare, but you need practicality for the likes of Pikeman's Pleasure or Pennsic.
