anyone who's been around my cats for more than just a day have noticed their rather codependant nature. sometimes they take it to such extremes that if i or kizayaen (but mostly me), are not in visual range, they freak. you know that warble that mom cats use to look for their young? yeah, imagine hearing that when you're trying to fall asleep. we live in a ( Read more... )

But do they brink you sock babies? My Siamese used to drag a balled up pair of socks around the house with her, meowling into them, when she lost me. When I called out to her, she would come trotting in to me and drop the socks in my face. At least they were clean socks!

friends cat used to take men's black dress socks and wander around the house warbling. cat was male tho, which was odd.

S's cat lets out this horrible series of yeowls while somehow managing to carry a toy mouse in her mouth. (brought for his pleasure, no doubt)

My parents' last cat did the same thing. If I was in a different part of the house, he'd start up this pitiful, mournful sound that probably translated to "pay attention to meeee!"
