Everyone has their VVC DVDs but me! Ok, maybe not everyone, but still, I'm jealous. And I can't check my mailbox more than once a day, because it's freaking cold out there

Hee. That's just what I was thinking while reading my friendslist today. Just cause I live in another country things have to take longer to get here... sheesh!
I had to tear myself away from my VVC DVDs for this, that's how excited I am about the raw diet. ;)
Seriously, though, it was the best decision we made for our pets. The poop factor ALONE is worth it, but they have shiny coats, good energy, and their teeth are amazingly clean.
We took our cats to the vet in December and they had a check-up and the vet said they were both extremely healthy and he actually asked if they'd had their teeth cleaned before, which they hadn't.
The only thing to be careful of is that they're getting enough quantity of food, which isn't easy to tell since you can't just do cups. The vet also recommended that the cats be given cat multivitamins (heh) to cover whatever they're missing, although he said it wasn't a huge deal since in the wild they're carnivores. He said that it's more important that the dogs get a little variety. We give ours their regular raw food diet most days and then throw in little treats and things a few times a week.
Well, I'm not going to lie, the poop is definitely a factor. The cats have been making us want to leave the house lately when they do their business. Plus not getting a lecture about how I should be torturing them with a toothbrush would be nice too. Even if that depends on the vet
