Using a turkey injecting syringe to infuse a big piece of watermelon with Cherry Coke, doesn't really work. Making the Coke non-carbonated might help, but probably not much.

And my boyfriend was right. Judging by the results, he was right in thinking he didn't want me trying this anywhere near his car last night.

I may be completely out of the loop, but why exactly were you doing that anyway?

Uhm....
...........
It seemed like a good idea at the time? ::sheepish grin::

Mmmm....cherry-coke-flavored-watermelon...still seems like a good idea actually... Stupid laws of physics. :P

That is hysterical. I had envisioned some chemistry experiment when these two elements combine or something, but really you just wanted a tasty treat. :-)

And you might have thought I'd have stopped after the first injection attempt resulted in coke shooting a foot across the counter, but no, I hung in there for at least another ten tries. And all just because the idea tastes so good in my head. ;)

Your chemistry idea is intriguing though...maybe if I could figure out a way to feed cherry-coke to a watermelon plant without killing it...::ponders::...

Now the vodka thing I have heard of and partaken in. Alcohol-soaked fruit. Yummy.

Mmm..yes, I have heard of this also. :) Never heard of anyone using the technique with anything besides alcohol though, so I suppose I assumed only alcohol worked...

::adds buying a whole watermelon when they come in season and trying this with cherry-coke to her list of things to do::
