Damn it. Why did I think it would be such a good idea to locate the computer next to the largest exterior windows in our house? The windows that are slowly being covered in ice. From the inside. This means I have to screw around that much more in order not to freeze while doing real work. Or fun work. Otherwise I zone out and don't notice until ( Read more... )

::puts them away in boxes so they never ever get dirty--or worse....used::

heh, heh, I thought I was the only one who felt that way about art supplies! I've eased up since getting out on my own and having a cashflow and all, but it used to be quite the issue getting myself to use some of my precious stock. I mean use it, and then there's no more! eek!

Hee--yeah. It's good to hear you're working through it--I'm going to use that as inspiration. :)

When I have money just to spend on the stuff though, I'm even worse. I got some scholarships in college that were really just to let me get more stuff.

I still have almost all of that stuff. Not the least of which is a...man..60? 80? (been so long I can't even remember :P) roll of 8 or 9 ft. canvas. Which I have never cut a piece off of. Instead of using that stuff, I used the stockpile I'd never used in highschool. This has been something of a long-running issue...

Wanna have an intervention? Or maybe just come over and help me organize the boxes of crap in my studio room? ;D

heh, heh. Actually, my problem was not so much *starting* on a particular supply, but rather that I never wanted to use the last of it. So anything that required more than half of my stock was suspect, and subject to delays of conscious. 'cause, what if I have a better idea later, and then it's *gone*. no more. oh, the humanity! So, yes, intervention might not be a bad idea ;-)

We so need to combine our efforts.

I'll be in charge of buying all the shiny new stuff and making sure it never runs out, if you can just teach me how to open it up. ;D
