I'll be tired of it come Feb, but the first big snow of the year always makes me feel like a little kid. :) It helps that today's snow is also perfectly light and fluffy without any wind to speak of. Everything was still green a week and a half ago ( Read more... )

I don't think anyone sat her down and pointed out how her coloring would add 10lbs. to any new cheek fluff she grew. ;D And my pleasure--even my camera isn't really equipped for bird watching. ;)

I think it went: SNOW! KITTEH! CUUUUTE! Except more eloquently and with more ramble about how I only have insects and sneezing and so I envy your weather situation. :(

Also I am startled that 'chickadees' are a THING and not just a diminutive version of 'chickiebabe'.

Awww, bad LJ! It is kind of nice how winter involves no bugs to speak of--aside from all the spiders and sowbugs that are hiding out in my basement. ;D

They *are* a thing! A super super cute thing! I love them because of the tiny cuteness, and also because they make adorable noises and tend to be the most fearless of the birds. I mean, who cares about people standing right there if there are SUNFLOWER SEEDS OMG.

There is a reason I can't stop giving her more food every time she asks (which is, oh, ALWAYS). She swears it's all fluff, but I'm beginning to have my suspicions...
