This pie is pomegranate heaven! \o/

But there are some things even pie can't fully distract from. Like lack of Dexter. ::refreshes and refreshes and then refreshes some more::

::lolz::

You are still forming words, the delirium can still be averted if they just MAKE IT SHOW UP NOW PLS.

You are the second person to tell me they loved the books too much to sit through the show. *g* And I have felt that, even if not with this show. But I find it very encouraging for *me*, because it means I have some cool books to read later. XD I don't anticipate any problem treating the show as it's own little thing going from TV to book. I have no idea why I can so rarely go the other direction, but clearly it's not just me. ;D

And yes! It makes for such pretty pretty vids! \o/

Hee, pears would be more elegant, no question.

She mentioned a cup-ish of pomegranate seeds, but I just put in a whole pomegranate. It was a big one, so it might have been more like 1 and 3/4 cup. Worked just fine though. And I put probably 4-5 cups of chopped apples, so I'd think 4 or 5 pears would be about right. Worst case it's a taller or shorter pie, but still tastes good. ;D Her recipe called for 4lbs. of pears, but I just eyeballed it all and played scant on all the sugar measurements cause I like things extra tart.

The tartness of this with some really good vanilla ice cream is *amazing*. :D

And if you cook it long enough, it stays together and firms up and everything, hee. And tastes really really good. It's like the tart pie I've always been looking for. Closest thing to rhubarb I've had, but with a different overall flavor. :D

I hope if you tried it out, you enjoyed it. :) Gerry thinks I should have mentioned the bit about how the pomegranate seeds can get stuck in your teeth, but I sort of didn't even think that some people still chew the juice/flesh off the seeds and then spit them out, and so might not be used to eating them whole already. ;)
