Wow! I have to say... poor Doctor! I'm glad he has had this time to think it through and maybe, just maybe, come to the conclusion that, while he does love Donna, he wasted his chance with her, and it is because of that love he must let her be. It is because of that love that he should be happy that she is happy and whole, because they were best friends that he realizes he should wish her well, even if he can't personally tell her.

I guess he needs to talk once again to Wilf. The last time they talked was a bit difficult between them, so he needs to settle on good terms.

I hope he sticks to his resolution......

The Doctor always does the right thing, in the end. And yes, he's up the hill for a reason. I hope I'm able to get the rest of this chapter completed soon.

Thanks for reading and commenting, as always.

Oh, you sneaky little thing! The last thing I expected when opening up my computer this morning was another - albeit brief - installment. A perfect way to begin my holiday!

Poor, poor Eleven. It is good to see him accepting and coping, nonetheless.

The entire second-to-last paragraph really got me. It never occurred to me -and it really should have - that, even while he was taking her memories, she would be fighting him all the way. Until. She realized that he knew her feelings and saw how that knowledge affected him. I wonder, though. Did she give up because he knew "her deepest secret" and thought (mistakenly) he didn't feel the same, or did she realize that he *did* love her but couldn't prevent the inevitable outcome of the Meta-Crisis and that he was even more hearts-broken about it?

"he has one last thing to take care of on his second mini farewell tour". I wonder what this could me. I can't imagine he would go see Peter and give him his blessing, although it would be a wonderful gesture. A chat with Wilf, perhaps?

I'm glad you enjoyed this and happy I could make you happy today.

Donna saw his dismay and, being Donna, she misread it. I think that, more than anything else, has fueled Eleven's obsession. Not only is he still in love with her, he's furious that Donna, for all her personal growth, still couldn't believe he might love her back. (Sorry, I'm of the RTD School of Angst.)

And yeah, he's up on the hill for a reason.

Sorry to spring that on you without warning, but that part I'd read and read and read and was so sure of, I just couldn't wait.

So glad to read something from you. (And what a awesome triumph you had at ACCC! Congrats again!)

Well... Eleven needed to see that. I wonder if he will be able to stick to this letting go resolution, or if he'll feel compelled to intervene. Or someone else forces him to, to protect Donna. But his admitting that he lost his chance and she deserves to be happy was a needed step.

Good luck with the rest! I hope Wildred gets through any remaining mess in his giant, outer space, dunce head. :)

My goodness, has it been this long since you've updated? This is your gentle reminder to do so, although Passover is coming up soon (and I might not be able to comment at the time).....

Wow! It's now almost time for the Fall Holidays and still no update. I hope everything is all right with you.
