Whoa.... Poor Donna. The Doctor and Jack now have a lot to answer for.

And a bigger whoa on the resolution of the case. The guy's caught, and the poor kid's girl manages to get revenge and cover Peter's butt. I think Donna will forgive Peter for the shirt when she hears how Elsa helped. She'd approve. :)

Another YOWZA chapter. I get the feeling that more is coming along those lines.

I've been waiting so long to get to this point and what follows. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have writing it. And yes, Donna's more forgiving than Peter thinks about the shirt. About other things? Maybe not so much...

Wow, this was caught with tension, I was on the edge of my seat! It's incredibly hard to write physical altercations and chase in prose when we are so used to seeing it in film, but you did it and it was GRIPPING. Bravo!

And this had me all asquee:

""You do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence if you do not mention, when questioned, something you later rely on in court."

Did you get that fro research or do they say it on TV shows? It's a huge point of discussion among researchers and interrogators, the strengths of the British model, one of them being this genius notion to count silence against a suspect when an innocent person would not need to stay silent. I'm rambling, but literally, this is such a big deal in the law enforcement world, and officers from other countries are jealous of this technique, so I geeked out completely when it showed up in FIC!

Thank you for your ever-generous comments. I agree with your assessment on writing action, especially as I hear dialog in my head and then have to go back and fill in what the characters are actually doing. I'm glad it came across for you, as I wasn't at all sure it would ( ... )
