I only hope that Ian is wrong, that Torchwood IS defunct. Thanks to the events of Children of Earth, sadly. (Poor Jack.)

Anyway... I'm really looking forward to Peter's fist meeting the Doctor's face. More than once. Although he might have some compassion once he learns that his "evil twin" died to save Wilfred.

And I'm still looking forward to this event that others have bets on. :D

Ah, but Jack's back after Miracle Day, and having lost another love to the inevitability of death, he's smarting a bit himself. He's still to come in the future, but I've already had this discussion with him about what he'll have to say about the whole Peter/Donna/Doctor connection.

I am home sick today, so I'm planning on working a bit later on the next part. Thanks for continuing to read- it means more to me than you can possibly know.

Oh my. Peter is going to take on Torchwood. I'd love to see a confrontation between him and Jack! Maybe Jack will be able to explain to Peter better why it's important that Donna NOT remember anything about her Spaceman.

Weeellll, I'm not sure Peter wants her to remember the Spaceman part, and I can guess how he'd react to someone like Jack. Innuendo Boy better hold his tongue around Peter is all I can say. Hope you'll like it when Jack finally shows up. Nice icon, BTW.

The Scottish Stud and Innuendo Boy. I am definitely looking forward to seeing that confrontation! Hmmm. I wonder how Jack will react, seeing as how Peter looks so much like the former Doctor. "I can't tell you what I'm thinking right now" comes to mind. :D

The icon....just did a Google Images search for Peter Carlisle and made it into an LJ userpic (especially for this story, btw. It seemed appropriate.).

[Sorry to hear that you're sick.]

So much for being sick and staying home- I got called in anyway, so no writing today. (Blame my boss if I don't post this weekend.)

And Captain Innuendo was definitely thinking that, but has enough sense not to voice it in front of Peter. After all, the Doctor is non-violent and Peter is also, for the most part, but he has buttons that can be pushed, especially now.

Back to writing! And I'll send you pics tomorrow- SOMEbody, who will remain nameless but stands at under 5 ft tall, has misplaced my camera. He's not getting his allowance until he finds it again.

I was so excited to see a new chapter! Re-reading this story was the only thing that made my Valentine's day bearable! I love the pace of this story and I just can't wait for the big Doctor/Peter and Doctor/Donna showdown!

I'm so happy you're enjoying this and that it served as a Valentine's Day present. (I hate Valentine's Day- it's a prefabricated holiday that only serves to enrich florists, candy makers and card shops and I've never had a good one, myself, so I sympathize.) As for pacing....this was only supposed to be 10 chapters at most when I started. It's just kinda taken on a life of its own and I'm just along for the ride at this point.

Gee, no pressure there on the ending....;-) But I've known the ending- especially the last sentence- since the beginning, and I'm just filling in the details to get there. I'm going to try my best to get back on a schedule so that I can finish this in a reasonable amount of time. I refuse to quantify reasonable, however.

Yes... I would guess that male would be at least 100 years old (try quite a few centuries older...)! Interesting about the boot.

Ah, new theory... they think Torchwood erased her memory. Not exactly, but if they find "Dr. Smith," I'm guessing they will have their answers. Carlisle isn't going to let him get off so easily. I smell a showdown, but Peter had better be careful or Donna is going to be very angry with him!

Ian's right, Peter needs to tell Donna what's going on so she can be careful. This is all going to come to some massive climax and I hope Donna will be fine at the end.

My minor in college was Costume Design, and I've always loved the little details in clothes that help you peg an original vs a reproduction. Costuming was the path I should have taken in life instead of sitting behind a computer all day, but such is life. If I did it for a living, I probably wouldn't like Cosplay, so it all works out in the end, I guess.

Torchwood- blame Netflix, as my son went on a watching binge last month while I was sewing, and I could hear Jack talking to Peter in my sleep. I literally woke up at 3:00 AM one morning and jotted down most of their dialog. I'm looking forward to fleshing that part out!

And Peter intends to tell Donna everything, but life has a nasty habit of getting in the way sometimes....

I just want to say how much I enjoy this series. I'm a lurker at heart, but anything this good deserves a comment. Truly, you're a great writer, and I hope you pursue it in other venues as well.

Can't wait for the big finish!

Wow, I'm flattered! You are too kind, and I hope I don't disappoint. I don't have an original idea in my head and could never create my own characters, but boy, I can see Peter and Donna together so easily.

I hope the story keeps you entertained until the end and is worthy of future comment. Now, I'm off to write! Thanks again for the kind words.
