I've quit and gone back to watching Supernatural about seventeen times now. The last time I had quit was in the beginning of S5, and I had swore I'd never go back... but then they hired Amanda Tapping for the multiple guest stunt in S8. And in the order of importance my brain gives to things, watching Amanda Tapping on television is pretty much ( Read more... )

Oh, synchronicity! They're opening for Stars, who I'll be seeing in March! I just found out about the Stars show and hadn't even had time to look into the opening act proper like.

I've also been thinking about giving Supernatural another go; it's near inescapable on Tumblr which always makes me feel like I have rushed to judgment on things I don't like.

I hadn't heard Amanda Tapping will be guest starring - thanks for the head's up!

Oooh, coolness about Stars and Milo Greene. Hope you enjoy the concert!

I think SPN still has all the problems everyone ever pointed out -- it's super sexist, very homophobic, characters of color are horribly represented, they often steal entire plotlines from other media [most notably, The X-Files and Good Omens], etc. I chose to ignore those issues this time around. It helps when watching entire seasons in a couple of days because there's no time to ruminate anything, I guess.

And Amanda Tapping's already guest starring, she's had small scenes in a couple of episodes already.

I think you're right! Having mainlined a season and a half in the last week or so, I've noticed this as well. One tends to just roll one's eyes and move on.

Thanks for letting me know! I checked out a clip on Youtube, because I was super curious. Still have 3 and a half seasons to go before I'm all caught up, and I couldn't wait that long ;)

Tissa!!!! This is probably the most belated comment in the history of the world, but I owe you one for introducing me to this album because it is wondrous and I looooooove it and all the chairdancing it has enabled. For some reason it strikes me as more of an end-of-summer/beginning of fall album (though that might just be "Autumn Tree" talking) but from here it also sounds good in the winter. AN ALBUM FOR ALL SEASONS, basically. And I never would have heard it without this post, so thank you!

JENN! It's never late for music talk. :) So happy to hear you love this album, it's been my go-to music ever since I got it. We're having the hottest Summer since ever here, so of course I'm relating Milo Greene to the crazy heat, but hey, AWESOME that it's good for Winter as well. Music for all seasons indeed. :)

BTW, I got some more random music uploaded that I've been meaning to post, but first LJ wouldn't let me, then I got lazy, but anyway, it's here if you want it. :)
