I looked for the retweet button for this post. Especially the bit about Twitter spoilers. I've been spoiled more for shows on Twitter than anywhere else in LIFE and people wonder why I get so stupid about it.

HEE re: the retween button. :) But yeah, I've been more spoiled on Twitter than anywhere else as well. It feels like everyone forgets basic fandom netiquette around there.

And I don't mind it when people tweet whether they liked/loved/hated/LOL'ed an episode -- I don't really consider vague reactions as spoilers. But I've seen some very specific stuff tweeted [for example, it completely ruined True Blood for me], and that's just VERY RUDE.

Yeah, people live tweeting during new episodes bug me more than anything else on Twitter. I don't know what people think while they're doing it? Don't they realize there are different time zones and people in other countries and hell, people who might be otherwise occupied, who can't watch simultaneously?

I mean, I don't mind if you post "Glee was awesome tonight!" or "Wow, was that a boring episode of Fringe" or some other vague reaction. That's fine by me. But live tweeting leads to people getting extremely specific about stuff and that's just RUDE.

Also, that sucks that you got spoiled for a character death. :( But you know what? I don't like being the spoiler police -- it's tiring and frustrating and you get people telling you "it's just a TV show" and I feel like punching them in the face -- but I *will be* if I have to.

The Twitter thing is especially annoying, given that even those who normally avoid spoilers see nothing wrong with tweeting throughout an episode. I've done it a few times, though I try not to be too specific (and I'm sure I've screwed that up before.) A friend pointed out TwitterSnooze, which will "mute" someone for a day at a time. I've used it with folks who post 50 tweets a day about topics I'm not interested in, and I'm thinking of using it next time I want to watch an episode unspoiled. As of now, I just avoid looking at Twitter while I'm watching - which I shouldn't have to do.

Yes, that's something I've noticed as well -- completely spoiler-free people doing the live tweeting. It's like they forget not everyone is watching simultaneously? I mean, these days I get to watch most shows before the US West Coast, but I realize that is the case, so I try to be careful not to say anything that might spoil the people there.

I use TwitterSnooze all the time, mostly on celebrities or corporate Twitters, but every so often I'll do it to fandom people.

Wow, I can't believe ratings were that bad. Ah well, time to prepare myself for the end. I actually though last night's ep was pretty good-- Amy Acker's acting was fantastic.

I have no evidence, just the gut feeling that FOX is gonna bank Dollhouse for at least a little while -- they did renew it after all. Plus, there's DVR ratings to take into account, and the DVD sales of the first season as well.

Yeah, Agent Helo's character is bugging me A LOT ever since the finale. I was fine when I could fanwank Echo as a job-related obsession, but now it's just creepy.

I'm incredibly surprised by Amy Acker -- I never thought much of her acting skills, but she was really REALLY great in this episode, and Epitaph One as well.
