The facts, let me show you them:

1. Ausiello reports that FOX is canceling Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

2. Ashley Miller, one of the T:TSCC writers, posts twice on Twitter saying Ausiello is wrong: one | two.

[Oh, hey, and now there's a Josh Friedman twitter and he's snarking about Ausiello's report as well and I wonder if it's ( Read more... )

I'm still mostly sure the show is dead -- at least on FOX. :( I do have hope that the WB will try to shop it around. I can even deal with it being on SyFy or whatever the hell it's called now, if it means we get one more season.

Oh, snap! I love when people snark on Ausiello. The fact that it'd be people in positions of power on that show? BONUS.

Thanks for the interview! It does provide some good context for what we saw, without giving too much of next season's story away.

It's not even that I doubt Ausiello, 'cause I do believe the show is mostly dead; it's that FOX has absolutely no reason to keep mum if the show is indeed canceled. The fact that they're not saying that means they're still considering options.

The more I read BAG saying stuff about T:TSCC the more I like the dude. Seriously. And I love that he tried to explain the finale without sounding like he was talking down to the interviewer [for asking the stupid questions *g*]. That was class. :)

Sometimes I wonder if these things are set up to incite fan campaigns. I don't know, that might be serious conspiracy theory territory, especially considering I don't believe that fan campaigns have that much clout, and I don't really care in this case because I'd be happy for this show to be renewed. But still. I guess the simpler answer is just that somebody wanted to report news before it actually happened.

Considering this is FOX, I don't really think so. They're sole interest in T:TSCC is ratings -- and the ad revenue that comes with it; now that the season is over they don't have that anymore.

Now, if they start rumors about Dollhouse, then I'll believe it's a conspiracy to get fans to campaign. Oh, definitely. :)

FYI - Peter Rice is the new Chairman of Fox Broadcasting as of the middle of March, so maybe send letters to him, too?
