'Perfume' is one of my favorite novels ever. I've never run into another person that's read it without me having to introduce them to it first. I find it hard to believe they're making it into a film. Although if it's done right, it will be stunning.

DUDE. I remember the first time I read "Perfume" -- February 1993, right before I started high school [and then I forced a bunch of my brand new classmates to read it too *g*]. My family usually spends Summer at my grandparents' beach house, and while I was growing up, my great-aunt would bring hundreds of books with her, so the whole family would spent the Summer reading. I particularly remember that year because that's when I read 3 of my favorite books EVER -- "Perfume", Gabriel García Marques' "100 Years of Solitude" and Isabel Allende's "The House of Spirits". :)

I've been excited about Perfume for a while. Love the book and love Tom. I have high expectations for this one.
