Apparently it is possible to brush your teeth right out of your head. Why did it take 30 years for someone to tell me this?

Add gum surgery (a graft over the receding areas to prevent tooth loss) to my list of things to do. Joy.

On the upside, Joshua and I still have zero cavities.

Actually, I knew about that as one of my high school friends used to brush her teeth several time a day.

The dentist told my mom to lighten up with the brushing a few years ago, too. She changed to softer bristles.

A graft from the roof of the mouth? I had to have that done on my bottom front gums before they would put braces on them in middle school. Not fun, but it was a great excuse to sleep all afternoon afterwards and eat nothing but yogurt and ice cream for a day.
