I have been working so hard and for so many hours every week that I have barely had time to read many of the delightful stories over at hlh_shortcuts. The several I have read have been delightful. It's very disheartening - the number of times I was told they'd already gotten the max amount of resumes they were going to accept and weren't going to even look at mine. Made you feel like you didn't even have a shot. Now my brother's dealing with the same thing.

Amen to this - I was out of work for 2 years with the same responses, because many IT jobs were being outsourced overseas. And the job I got pays half what I used to get, which sucks, but I just feel lucky at the moment to have it. Crossing my fingers that Roy will get some good luck soon.

And there are a number of really good stories this year!

Not trying to depress you further, but the one thing that worries me is how many college students have come out in the past couple of years who are still out of work. They will be flooding the job market when jobs do begin popping up ( ... )
