I am sort of willing to just go "Oh, Justin Long, that was a career choice made at a time when things were not going so well for you, wasn't it" and move on from Alvin. But he was BRANDON, he was the BABY!EVERYGEEK, oh man. /o\

(And then part of my brain goes: this is not unlike how people who had been watching prime time sitcoms in the 80s felt when Bruce Willis starred in Die Hard. Weirdness comes full circle!)

I actually kind of had to back away from the gag reel you posted the other day, because...yeah. Looking at him, he suddenly seemed...too young. I would like to read the stories without guilt.

Oy, he's all of two years younger than me. I think it's the age difference, which is really obvious on the screen? I don't know. I think it's one of those pairings that I wouldn't have seen on my own, but I'm perfectly happy to read about.

But yeah, I don't think, just watching the movie, I'd have been especially inclined to slash them. Reading about it, otoh, has been quite a lot of fun.

It's true! One can pretty much imagine a direct line of development from Brandon to Matt. Maybe that's how he got on that FBI list...
